Fiona Lewis is a Melbourne-based ceramic artist creating sculptural works inspired by film, television, and popular culture. Her practice explores nostalgia, girlhood, coming-of-age, and identity, using clay to reimagine familiar cultural objects and moments that shaped her formative years.
Drawing on both Australian and international screen culture, Fiona transforms cultural touchstones into tactile, hand-built ceramic forms. Her work considers the ways film and television become sites of comfort, escapism, and memory, and how they shape our understanding of self, desire, and belonging.
Blending humour, sentimentality, and storytelling, Fiona’s work brings together personal memory and popular iconography to create objects that feel both playful and reflective, inviting viewers to reconnect with the emotional landscapes of adolescence and the cultural moments that stay with us.
